Wimbledon-themed comic whodunnit comes to Winchester
Posted: 3rd August 2022
Expect murder and mayhem when comedy Crimes on Centre Court comes to Theatre Royal Winchester on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 September.
The story goes that Lord Knows, chair of The Whombledun International Invitational Tennis Tournament, has died and his son is suspicious - and as the police won’t take the case, Hugh calls in private investigators, Perry and Penny Pink. From there the show sees the cast of four performers playing countless characters with quick-fire changes and wit.
Crimes on Centre Court is brought to the stage by the multi award-winning company, New Old Friends – who have built a reputation for wildly inventive sets, twisty plots and pure entertainment; while the production is based on a story by the company’s award-winning podcast, which made no. 2 in the iTunes fiction chart.
Crimes on Centre Court will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 September. Age guidance 12+. For more information or to book tickets visit theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
