Beyond clapping for the NHS

Local financial advisor, Ian Batterbee, of Better Wealth Management, wants to go beyond clapping for NHS staff after the loss of his mother to COVID 19.
Ian and his family are mourning their loss and have nothing but praise for the dedicated team who tried to help her. Sadly, she passed away earlier this month.
During the weeks that followed Ian has been trying to work out how he, personally, can give something back to the NHS and other key workers that would be a lasting and personal benefit to them.
Ian says: “I am so grateful to the NHS service and other key workers that are putting themselves and their own families at risk to help others at this time. I think it is important to give something back to them for the fantastic work they do for all of us.
“I personally wanted to be able to utilise my skills in financial planning and dedicate one day a week of my time for NHS staff and other key workers to offer a thirty minute consultation throughout the day, either over the phone or through Zoom calls. This will be ongoing so I can help as many people as I possibly can.
“No selling, no products, just a chat to see if I can help them with financial planning through these difficult times and give them reassurance now and for the future. It’s my way to give something back.”
