Jazz from Marvin Muoneké in Cafe Bar
Posted: 27th February 2020
Gifted singer Marvin Muoneké pays a visit to Theatre Royal Winchester’s Cafe Bar for a night of jazz, as part of the venue’s new Cafe Bar Jazz Nights, on Friday 6 March.
Calling himself ‘The Young Man with The Old Soul’, Marvin is heavily influenced by the likes of Nat ‘King’ Cole, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and Paul Robeson, to name a few.
With a ‘rich, deep and wonderful’ voice, he has performed in theatres and nightclubs, and appeared on TV – as a hopeful on The Voice in 2016 and a semi-finalist on Britain’s Got Talent two years ago.
As well as singing, the performer from Newham, East London, also writes songs in the style of the legendary songwriters of the Great American Songbook; is an arranger and producer.
The Cafe Bar Jazz Nights are presented in conjunction with Winchester Jazz Festival.
All events take place at 7pm and tickets are £10. Available from the Box Office or via the theatre’s website, there is limited capacity for these events.
